AUG 2021 - PRESENT

TU BRAUNSCHWEIG IRAS

STUDENT ASSISTANT (HiWi)

- Implementing a ROS-based simulation

environment to simulate a three degree of

freedom zero gravity environment with the

   ELISSA air bearing table

- Creating a robust and programmatic mass

and thrust distribution model to more

   accurately simulate free flyer dynamics

- Automating manual ELISSA processes

- Modeling table residual acceleration as a

   ROS node

- Path finding algorithm determination and automatic 3D printer bed-leveling

MAY 2022 - PRESENT

TU BRAUNSCHWEIG IFAS

STUDENT ASSISTANT (HiWi)

- Researched the optimization of propeller

   efficiency using blade element momentum

   theory

- Used MATLAB and a lift/drag polar database

to create a design point design optimization

   script, using genetic algorithms and

   surrogate optimization interchangeably

- Some design point propellers were >90%

   efficient

- Extended design point optimization to a

   mission averaged efficiency optimizer
